About Us

We are a company dedicated to helping parents teach their children the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Latter Day Armor Book of Mormon Bandages

Our Goal

One goal is to help you create special teaching moments with your children. We know how important it is for them to have strong testimonies as the world becomes a more challenging place.

When children get hurt, they want the attention of their parents. They will listen and remember these special moments as you tell them the stories of Jesus and Book of Mormon prophets they can wear to cover their owies.

Who We are

Latter-Day Armor was founded by Jan and Dan Paxman. As a registered nurse, Jan worked for many years in the immunization clinic at the Provo, Utah Missionary Training Center.

As she put cartoon bandaids on missionary’s arms day after day, she wondered, “Why don’t we have faith-based bandaids? Where is Captain Moroni? Where are the Stripling Warriors?”

Years later, her dream of creating bandaids with images of scripture heroes finally came to pass with Latter-Day Armor.

Jan and Dan are also full-time health coaches, bringing habits of health to thousands throughout the world.

Nephi and the Brass Plates

Nephi and the Brass Plates

Meet Nephi – one of the sons of Lehi, who was warned in a dream to take his family and leave Jerusalem in 600 BC, prior to its destruction in 586 BC. As they journeyed in the wilderness, God asked Lehi to send his sons back to Jerusalem to get the Brass Plates: A record that contained teachings from Old Testament prophets and the genealogy of Lehi’s forefathers. It wasn’t easy getting the plates, but God provided a way. Read the whole story in 1 Nephi 3 & 4

Lehi and the Liahona

Lehi and the Liahona

One morning, the prophet Lehi awoke to find a unique compass outside his tent door. It guided him and his family through the wilderness. Find out more about it here: 1 Nephi 16: 8-10.

Alma & The Sons of Mosiah

Alma & The Sons of Mosiah

Many years after Lehi’s family arrived in the Promised Land, there lived a young man named Alma, named after his father, Alma. He and 4 sons of King Mosiah were causing trouble for people who believed in God. One day an angel appeared and told them to stop persecuting the righteous even if they themselves chose not to change their lives. Find out what happened to them in Mosiah 27:8-37

Captain Moroni

Captain Moroni

The descendants of the family of Lehi became 2 mighty nations. The Nephites and the Lamanites. The Lamanites came to war against the Nephites many times to try to bring them into subjection to them. Captain Moroni was the mighty eader of the Nephite armies. He was a great man in physical and spiritual strength. He is pictured here hoisting what is called “The Title of Liberty”. Find out what that name means and learn more about Moroni here: Alma 43: 16-17 Alma 48-17

Stripling Warriors

The Stripling Warriors

Some of the Lamanites became converted to God and joined the Nephites. The men buried their weapons of war and vowed to never take them up again. During one fierce battle, when their families needed protection from the Lamanites, they almost broke the oath. However, their sons, who hadn’t taken the oath, chose to fight in their fathers’ place. Learn what happened to these 2000 young striping warriors here: Alma 53:10-22 Alma 56 44-56

Samuel the Lamanite

Samuel the Lamanite

Sometimes the Lamanites were more righteous than the Nephites. Samuel the Lamanite was a great man! He came to preach to the Nephite people who had forgotten God. He prophesied of the birth of Jesus Christ and invited the Nephite people to return to righteousness. The Nephites were angry and tried to stone him and shoot him with arrows. Learn more about what Samuel prophesied and what happened to him here: Helaman 13: 2-39 Helaman 14:1-9

Christ Visits the Americas

Christ Visits the Americas

The prophecies of Samuel the Lamanite came to pass and 33 years after the signs of Christ’s birth happened, there was a great storm throughout the land. After the terrible destruction ceased, the people gathered near the temple in a land called Bountiful. The Savior himself came and visited the people there. “Other sheep have I which are not of this fold. Them too must I bring and they shall hear my voice.” John 10:16 – These are the people Christ was referencing when he spoke those words in Jerusalem. 3 Nephi 11:14

Brother of Jared & The Finger of the Lord

The Brother of Jared & The Finger of the Lord

Before the family of Lehi came to the American continent, God also brought over another group of people. They were called the Jaradites and came at the time of the Tower of Babel. They were instructed to build barges to cross the ocean, but there was no light inside these vessels. The Brother of Jared was a prophet and he asked God to touch 16 stones so they would give light inside the barges. His faith was so strong he was able to see the finger of the Lord touching the stones. Read the wonderful story of what happened next in Ether 3:1-20
